In the beginning, Jah created man in his image and likeness, making man not only human but spiritual, and most importantly Jah made man divine. Since he made man in his image and likeness, Jah must therefore be human, spiritual, and divine. Jesus of Nazareth found this to be true, and try to teach man about his divinity, as begotten sons of Jah. In 451 AD at the council of Chalcedon, the Ethiopian church broke from the Eastern Orthodox and Western churches in disagreement over the nature of Jesus. The claim of the Ethiopian church is that the humanity and divinity of Jesus could not be separated, they were intertwined together. This makes Jesus both God and man. To question the divinity of Haile Selassie1 is to question the divinity of man Is Haile Selassie 1 the creator of the universe, is another question. In the beginning, was the word and the word was Jah….. and the word became flesh and dwell amongst us.

Ethiopia confirms and attests to the fact her royal family is direct descendants of King Solomon son of King David and Queen Sheba(Makeda)(1 Kings 10:1-13. ) and her son Menelik 1. This being so, Haile Selassie 1 is coming from the same family tree as David, Jesus, and the tribe of Israel from the line of Judah.

Negust Tafari Makonnen ascended the world’s oldest throne, the throne of David as the 223rd King of the Solomonic dynasty. Taking the title of King of Kings and Lord Of Lords ( Rev 17:14; 19:16) Conquering Lion of the tribe of Judah, Elect of God (Isaiah 42:1) Light of the world (John 8:12; 9:5) King of Israel John1:49; 12:13) King of Zion ( Psm 2:6) Defender of the Christian Faith and Emperor of Ethiopia.

Seeing Haile Selassie 1 as the creator rests in the second coming of Jesus a divine man who conquered death. He promised to return to earth to redeem and judge. In this advent, he would not come as a lamb to be slaughtered but as a conquering Lion, (Rev 5:5) not as a peasant to be spit upon and jeered but as King of Kings and Lord of Lords to be glorified and praised. ( Rev 19:16; 22:16) Prophecy tells us that in his second coming Jesus will be born as a child and grew up to take over the government of his people (Isaiah9:6-7; Tim 6:15) In (Psm 132:10) Jah promised David that he would sit on David’s throne. Peter on the day of Pentecost reminded the people of this promise that Jesus must return to earth to sit on David’s throne. (Acts 2:29-31) At His Coronation Haile Selassie 1 received a scepter (Gen 49:8-10) A ring, a globe of the world, a sword, his robe as if it was dipped in blood, a crown, and a throne that once belonged to King David. His name Haile Selassie means Power of the Trinity and of course, we know there can only be one Power of the Trinity and that’s Jah Almighty.
