Chapter 1
It has been said. Africa is the birthplace of civilization. The Bible shows her to be the Garden of Eden. “…the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone. And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia…” (Genesis 2:12- 13). From what we know, Africa is the land with all known animals and trees, plus it is rich with natural resources.
Being the birthplace of civilization, Adam and Eve must have been citizens of Africa. Adam and eve multiplied the Earth. However due to the wickedness of their children, the Earth was washed with water. One family was saved- Noah, his wife, their three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japhet and their wives. After the flood, Noah and his family, along with pairs of all animals and birds, landed in Africa. It was there that all the animals and birds were released. After they all had settled down, Noah planted a vineyard from which he made wine. He got drunk and caused his nakedness to be seen by his son, Ham. When Noah found out, he cursed Ham. “And he said, Cursed be Canaan, (son of Ham) a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.” (Genesis 9:25-27).
