A salute to you I bring

From a people who appreciate

The sacrifice you made for our fate

The lance of a warrior you held the truth

while wearing the armor of righteousness

you march through

Waking the world to its true consciousness

A nation judging its people by the color of their skin

a waste of human resources you sing

Judge us  by the content of our character

You plead to the heart of America

No weapons No violence your vision

Love Equality and Justice your mission

You forced a Nation to live up to its creed

Of  liberty and Justice for all

Touching the conscience of its People you did

Ringing the bells of Liberty hall

So to you Dr. Martin Luther King
